Affordable, Dignified Cremation in West Jordan
West Jordan has grown from a farming community along the Jordan River into one of Utah's largest cities, but much of what makes it work is still small and local: neighbors who show up, congregations that organize meals, families who have been here for generations.
Summit Cremation serves West Jordan families with the same directness. One honest price, no packages to decode, and a process you can complete from your kitchen table. We respond throughout the city, from the neighborhoods around Gardner Village and Jordan Landing to Copper Hills and the communities along Bangerter Highway.

Serving West Jordan
We transport from anywhere in West Jordan, including Jordan Valley Medical Center, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities, and private homes. There is no surcharge for any location within the city.
If a Death Occurs at Home
If your loved one was receiving hospice care, call the hospice agency first. A hospice nurse will come to the home, handle the pronouncement, and coordinate the release with us directly.
If the death was unexpected, or your loved one was not under hospice care, call 911 or your local police department. An officer and medical personnel will respond, and once the death has been pronounced and released we take it from there.
Either way, you are welcome to call us at any point, before or after, and we will walk you through exactly what happens next.
Why West Jordan Families Choose Direct Cremation
For a lot of West Jordan families, the appeal is practical. Direct cremation costs a fraction of a traditional funeral, and it gives you time. You are not making a dozen expensive decisions in the forty-eight hours after a death, when nobody is thinking clearly.
Once your loved one is in our care, you can take a breath. Plan the memorial later, at the church, at Veterans Memorial Park, at home. Do it when the family can actually gather.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is direct cremation the least expensive option?
Direct cremation is generally the most affordable form of disposition available. Our base price of $950 plus the required $157 state permit is well below the Utah average for a traditional funeral service.
Can we hold a memorial afterward?
Yes, whenever you like. Choosing direct cremation does not mean skipping a memorial. It means you control the timing and the setting rather than the funeral home's calendar.
What is included for $950?
Transfer into our care, refrigeration up to 10 days, dignified private cremation up to 250 lbs, a basic cremation casket, a basic urn, and family pickup of the urn in Salt Lake County. The state's $157 cremation permit is added by law.
Do we have to come to an office?
No. Everything can be handled online or by phone.
